The Los Banos Police Canine Association is a non-profit corporation and shall be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code.
The Los Banos Police Canine Association is organized for the purposes set forth in its Articles of Incorporation which are on file with the state of California, said purpose being to educate and promote the use of police service dogs in the community, perform canine demonstrations for schools and community groups, provide training and equipment for police service dogs and their handlers, assist in the care of active and retired police dogs, and to furnish benefits to all police dogs.
We provide education by performing canine demonstrations at schools, libraries, fire stations and other public venues, as well as utilizing social media channels and the corporation’s website to provide facts, statistics, and other related data regarding police service dogs, including the Los Banos Police Department’s police service dogs and their handlers. We also may attend and participate in canine demonstrations organized by other law enforcement departments in order to educate and promote the use of police service dogs in the community.
In addition to performing canine demonstrations, our programs include hold fundraising events in order to provide relief and assistance to police service dogs and their handlers within the purposes of the corporation.
To maximize our impact on current efforts, we may seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations which fall under the 501(c)(3) section of the Internal Revenue Code and are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.
